September Vhay paints from her Wyoming home. Her interest and admiration of native wildlife and horses inspires her graceful paintings of animals and birds. Raised in Nevada, September’s paintings feature the muted colors of the western desert and grasslands. Her oils and watercolors can be seen in galleries in Wyoming, Utah and New Mexico and on her website: vhay.com. These 4 1/2″ x 6 1/4″ blank notecards are printed in the USA on 100% PCW recycled paper and come with matching envelopes. Cards are available individually or in a reclosable box of 8 cards. September Vhay’s work is gorgeous! As an artist myself, I can truly appreciate the delicate, well placed brush marks September uses to depict animals. Each mark skillfully placed to successfully capture the animal’s anatomy and overall pose! Color selection and application is amazing, allowing for light to emirate through the color giving the animals an etherial yet commanding presence.
I purchased the Wolf note card while visiting Yellowstone National Park, the card is so beautifully done that I am planning to frame it and display it on my wall! Seldom does the public get to see such masterful illustrations in a souvenir shop! Well done on the part of the artist and the lodge that carries this beautiful art!
